• Get your supplies

Head to your local craft store to get your red wool, yarn or fabric.Red wool is available at cost at Wool on William to those knitting for the Red Scarf Project.

Too expensive? We believe cost should never stop people from contributing to their community. Materials are available for free from the AIDS Committee of Durham Region

  • Create your scarf

Knit, sew or crochet your scarf in any pattern you like. It's totally up to you! All we is ask is that the scarves are red and at least 6" wide and 60" long.

You can work on your scarf from the comfort of your own home, but why not meet some great people in the process? Join us at one of our yarn craft socials. Visit our 'Events' page to see our calendar of upcoming workshops and social events.

  • Drop it off

You've worked hard on your scarf, and now it's time to share it with the community.

You can drop your finished scarves in one of our donation bins at any Oshawa Public Library or to ACDR's office at 115 Simcoe Street South in Oshawa.  The last day to submit scarves is November 20, 2020.

We can't wait to see what you've made!

Thank you to partners of the Red Scarf Project. Without their contribution, this work would not be possible.
